D-backs outlast the Nats, 10-8.

The Nats pitching was sub par today against the D-Backs. Scott Olsen only pitched 4 1/3 innings because of a liner he took off his body in the fifth. But Olsen was not very effective today by giving up 5 runs. The Nats bullpen did not fair much better. Logan Kesing took the lost by giving up four runs in 2/3 of an inning. Julian Taveraz giving up a run in his one inning of work.

The offense was red hot today, but eight runs was not enough for the Nats. The Nats pounded out 13 hits today! Adam Dunn and Josh Willingham both had two homers apiece. Dunn and Ryan Zimmerman both had 3 hits a piece. Willingham, Willie Harris and Wil Nieves all added two hits apiece. Dunn also lead the team in RBI with 3. Zimmerman extended his hitting streak to 28 games.

Nats escape with a 2-1 victory over the D-backs.

The Nats dodged danger thorough out the whole game last night with the D-Backs. John Lannan, Nats' starter, pitched 6 innings who walked 6, but never gave up a run. Relievers Garret Mock, Ron Villone, Logan Kensing, and Joe Beimel pitched without giving up a run. Kip Wells came into close the game, but unable to do it. He gave up one run in 2/3 of an inning, but Joel Hanrahan was able to get the last out for his 3rd save of the year.

The Nats offense was limited, but effective as Adam Dunn and Ryan Zimmerman both homered for the Nats two runs. Zimmerman extended his hitting streak to 27 games. The play of the game was made by Austin Kearns who made a force play at home plate. The scorecard read 9-2! Jesus Flores made an excellent stretch catching Keans' throw.

The Nats put together back to back wins on the road for the first time this year. Shairon Martis pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs to pick up his 4 victory of the year. Relievers Garret Mock, Joel Hanrahan and Julian Tavarez picked up holds in 2 2/3 innings of work. Kip Wells picked up his first save of his career in the ninth.

The Nats' offense was lead by Cristen Guzman, Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Dunn, and Jesus Flores who each had two hits apiece. Dunn and Flores each homered in the game. Guzman and Flores each had two RBI. Zimmerman extended his hitting streak to 26.

Nats storm back and beat Dodgers,11-9.

The Nats pitching was shaky again, but Nats' offense bailed the pitching out again by scoring 11 runs in the last four inning against the Dodgers for a 11-9 win. Jordan Zimmerman had a tough first inning who gave up 6 runs, but allowed no runs in the next five innings. The bullpen of Joe Beimel and Kip Wells gave up 3 runs in 2 innings pitched. New Nat Ron Villone got the victory with by allowing no runs in his one inning of work.

The Nats accumulated a total of 18 hits in the win! The offensive surge was led by Nick Johnson and Anderson Hernandez both had three hits apiece. Ryan Zimmerman, Cristen Guzman, Adam Dunn and Jesus Flores all had two hits apiece. Josh Willingham hammered his second homer of the year. The leading RBI men were Johnson and Dunn who both had three. Zimmerman extended his hitting streak to 25!

Dodgers dominate the Nats, 10-3

The Nats' pitching was sub par last night in their lost to the Dodgers 10-3 as starter Daniel Cabrera gave up five runs in 5 1/3 innings with five walks; Relievers Mike Hinckley and Logan Kensing gave up another five runs in only 1 and 2/3 innings. Former Dodger Joe Beimel was the only saving grave by not giving up any runs in his one inning of relief work.

The offense was led by Cristen Guzman who had three hits and increase his batting average to .397. Ryan Zimmerman increase his hitting streak to 24 games by getting one hit.
