The Nats made the following moves:
- Collin Balester was sent to Triple A which means Shairon Martis is the 4th starter in the Nats rotation. It also means that Jordan Zimmerman won the 5th position of the Nats' rotation. He will pitch in the minor until April 19 which will be his first start of the season.
- Dmitri Y oung made the fourty man roster.
- The Nats release Wily Mo Pena today.
- Jose Castillo, Corey Patterson and Javier Valentin were assigned to minor league camp. Valentin elected to become a free agent.
- Matt Chico was put on the 60 day DL
