Nats fall to Cubs, 6-2.

The Nats were lifeless as the Cubs beat them 6-2. The Nats only scored two runs on 4 hits. John Lannan pitched a solid effort while the bullpen gave up as many runs as Lannan did in his outing.


Pitching:

Lannan pitched 6.2 innings and gave up only three runsin his seventh lost of the year. The bullpen was terrible again as Julian Tavarez gave up three runs without recording an out.

Batting:

The Nats collected 4 hits and scored two runs. Alberto Gonzalez led the Nats with two hits and Ryan Zimmerman hit his 14th homer of the year.

Record:

The Nats dropped to 26-62 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

Next Game:

The Nats will play their second game tonight of this home series as Craig Stammen takes on the Cubs’ Carlos Zambrano at 7:05pm.
