Rockies shut out Nats, 1-0

The Nats were shut out last night by a score of one to nothing to the Colorado Rockies. The Nats left 8 men on base in the lost even though they out hit the Rockies seven to five.


Pitching:
Craig Stammen pitched 7 strong innings while only giving up one run in the first inning. Joe Beimel also pitched one inning of shut out relief.



Batting:

The Nats collected 7 runs as they were shut out. Josh Bard led the Nats with two hits.

Record:

The Nats dropped to 24-56 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.


Next Game:

The Nats play their second game of their three game series versus the Rockies tonight as Jordan Zimmermann takes on the Rockies’ Jason Hammel at 8:40pm.
