While They Were Playing...

Houston Series….

Suspended Game (7/9/09)….

The Nats won on Houston’s Miguel Tejada throwing error which allowed Njger Morgan to score the winning run! Former Nat Joel Hanrahan picked up the win.

Thursday Night Game (7/9/09):

The Nats got a lead early in the game, but the Astros came back and won the game in conceiving style, 9-4.

Friday’s Night Game (7/10/09):

The Nats and their bullpen fell apart again and lost in walk off fashion against the Astros, 6-5.

Saturday’s Night Game (7/11/09) :

The Nats pounded 21 hits and scored 13 runs. Josh Willingham led the Nats with two home runs. Nick Johnson, Willingham and Adam Dunn hit Back to Back to Back for the first time in Washington National history. Craig Stammen pitched his first compete game of his MLB career.

Sunday’s Game (7/12/09):

The Nats lost the finale against the Astros as they got shut out five to nothing even thou they out hit Houston. The Nats left thirteen men on base in the lost
