Dunn gets it Done! Nats Top Padres, 7-6.

Adam Dunn powered the Nats to a 7-6 victory over the SD Padres last night with his 3 homers and 5 RBI. The Nats' bat have heated up in the last two games against the Padres. The Nats are 38-47 and are still in last place of the NL East.


Pitching:

J.D Martin pitched 5.2 innings while giving up 3 runs in first victory of the year. The bullpen once again made it interesting in last night game. The relief pitchers had a 4 run lead, but almost gave it all back in the late innings. The bullpen of Joe Peralta, Sean Burnett, Drew Storen and Matt Capps combined for 3.1 innings while giving up 3 runs. Matt Capps did get his 23rd save of the year.

Hitting:

The Nats scored 7 runs on 9 hits. The Nats were led by Adam Dunn's three hits. Dunn is up to 20 homers this year with his three from last night. Also, Ian Desmond hit his 6th homer last night as he has homered in consecutive games.
