Last night the Nats topped the New York Mets in a pitching duel,2-1. The Nats scored two runs in the 7th and 9th inning to complete a comeback and beat the rival Mets. The Nats started off the home stand in good fashion as they are now 35-45 and are still in last place of the NL East.
Pitching:
Livan Hernandez had another great outing. He pitched 7 innings while only giving up one run. Drew Storen pitched a no run 8th inning. Matt Capps picked his first win as he pitched a scoreless 9th.
Hitting:
The Nats scored two runs on 9 hits. Nyjer Morgan and Cristin Guzman led the Nats with two hits a piece.
