The Nats hold off the Marlins, 5-4, to take the series from them for the first time this year. The offense put up enough runs and the pitching was just good enough!
Pitching:
John Lannan put another gusty performance. He pitched 6 innings while only giving up two runs despite not having his best stuff. The bullpen did bend but never broke as they gave up two run.s Mike MacDougal was impressive as he picked up his 10th save of the year.
Batting:
Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Dunn and Ronnie Belliard all went yard! Cristen Guzman got three hits including a double and a triple which produced the the all important decisive 5th run.
