Nats bullpen implodes in 9-4 lost to Cubs

The Nats got great starting pitching from Livan Hernandez, but the bullpen fell apart and offense was not enough last night in the 9-4 lost to the Cubs.



Pitching:

Starter Livan Hernandez pitched 6 inning while giving up 2 runs. The bullpen of Jason Bergmann, Ron Villone, Jorge Sosa and Saul Rivera gave up 7 runs in 2 innings of work.

Batting:

The Nats collected 7 hits, and scored 4 run. The Nats were led by Ryan Zimmerman and Willie Harris who each had two hits a piece.

Record:

The Nats dropped to 45-82 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

The Nats next game is today in Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs as J.D. Martin takes on the Cubs’ Randy Wells at 2:20 pm.
