Nats Slam the Cubs, 15-6.

The Nats brought their whopping sticks last night as the scored a 15 to 6 victory over the Cubs. The Nats scored early and often by many different ways! The pitching was adequate enough for the 15 runs scored.



Pitching:

Starter Garrett Mock pitched 5.2 inning while giving up 4 runs. The bullpen of Tyler Clippard and Saul Rivera gave up 2 runs in 3.1 innings of work.

Batting:

The Nats collected 14 hits, and scored 15 runs! The Nats were led Josh Willingham 4 hits and RBI. Two of Willingham hits were homers. Elijah Dukes added two hits and one was a grand slam! He also added 5 RBI.

Record:

The Nats improved to 45-81 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

Next Game:

The Nats next game is today in Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs as Livan Hernandez takes on the Cubs’ Rich Harden at 8:05pm.
