Rockies top Nats, 5-4

Rockies 5 Nats 4

The Nats could not overcome a lackluster performance by the Collin Balester and the offense could not put enough runs to beat a talented Rockies team.

Pitching:

Collin Balester only pitched 1.1 innings and allowed three runs. The bullpen of Saul Rivera, Ron Villone and Jorge Sosa did a decent job over the last 7.2 innings but gave up two homers which was the difference in the game.

Batting:

The Nats collected 10 hits and 4 runs. Nyjer Morgan, Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Dunn and Josh Bard each had two hits a piece. Bard hit his 3rd homer of the year while Zimmerman added two RBI.
