The Nats finally got some solid starting pitching combined with good hitting and good relief help. The Nats didn't need a comeback to win 5 to 2 over the D-Back.
Pitching:
Garrett Mock pitched his best game of the year against the D-Backs as he gave 6 solid innings while only giving up two runs. Sean Burnett and Jorge Sosa pitched three innings of shut out relief. Sosa picked up his first save of the year.
Batting:
Nat managed five runs on eight hits. Ryan Zimmerman lead the Nats with two hits while Josh Willingham and Josh Bard each homered in the game.

Record:
The Nats improve to 39-72. The winners of their last seven games. They are 13-11 under Jim Riggleman this year. The Nats are still in last place of the NL East.

The Nats wrap up their six game home stand today with a 1:35pm matinee as J. D. Martin takes on the Arizona D-Backs' Yusmeiro Petit.
