Braves outlasted the Nats in 10, 7-6.

The Braves and Nats had a classic battle of tug of war. The game went back and forth during the whole game. The Nats forced extra innings by getting two runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to tie the score at six to six. But the Braves scored a run in the top of the 10th to win the game.The Nats are currently 14-13. They are in third place of the NL East.


Pitching

Luis Atilano was not at his best but still managed to pitch 5.1 innings. Sean Burnett, Tyler Walker and Brian Bruney did a great job by pitching 2.2 innings of combined shut out relief. Matt Capps took the lost as he gave up one run in his two innings of work.

Hitting

The Nats got 6 runs on 12 hits. Nyjer Morgan led the way for the Nats with his three hits. Ian Desmond hit his second homer of the year. Josh Willingham added 2 RBI.
