Redbirds fly by the Nats, 6-2.

The Cardinals scored early and then late to beat the Nats last night, 6-2. The Nats never got the the timely hit in last night's lost. The Nats are currently on a four game losing streak which leaves them at 20-19. They are currently tied for second place in the NL East.


Pitching:

Craig Stammen took the lost as he pitched 6 innings and gave up four runs. Doug Slaten and Drew Storen combined for an inning of shut out relief. It was Storen's first game as a MLBer. Matt Capps gave up two runs in his one inning of relief.


Hitting:

The Nats only scored two runs on eight hits. Ian Desmond led the Nats with 4 hits.
