Nats overcome themselves and then the O's, 7-6.

The Nats who lately have not played the most fundamentally sound baseball had to overcome their own errors and then of the Baltimore Orioles to win 7-6. The game winning hit came in the 6 inning on an Adam Dunn's single to drive in two runs. which capped off a 4 run inning. The Nats improve to 22-22 and are in 3rd place of the NL East.


Pitching:

Craig Stammen pitched 5.1 innings as he gave up 6 runs. Tyler Walker picked up his first victory of the year as the Nats came back in the game. Walker, Sean Burnett, Tyler Clifford and Matt Capps combined for 3.1 innings of shut out relief. Burnett,and Clifford picked up holds while Capps picked up his 16th save of the year.


Hitting:

The Nats scored 7 runs on 15 hits. The Nats were led by Cristin Guzman and Ryan Zimmerman who both had 3 hits a piece. Josh Willingham hit his 7th dinger of the year. Also Willingham and Dunn both had 2 RBI a piece.
