Nats stop skid and beat Mets, 5-3.

The Nats stopped their five game skid by beating the Mets last night, 5-3. The Nats finally put some hits to together in spite of an inside the park homer and a triple play by the Mets. The Nats are currently 21-20 and are in 3rd place of the NL East.


Pitching:

Livan Hernandez was being him old self once again. He pitched 6.1 innings while giving up only two runs. Drew Storen came in and pick up his first MLB victory as he pitched .2 of inning of shut out relief. Tyler Clifford came in and got back on track as he earn himself a hold in the 8th inning. Matt Capps finish the deal with his 15th save of the year in the 9th inning.


Hitting:

The Nats scored 5 runs on eight hits. The Nats were led by Cristan Guzman and Ryan Zimmerman who both had two hits a piece.
