Hammer Time! Nats beat O's on a Walk Off Blast, 4-3.

The Nats finally won an extra inning game. The Nats beat the Baltimore Orioles in ten inning as on a walk off homer by Josh Willingham. The game was set up in the 9th inning as Matt Capps blew his first save of the year as the O's scored two run to tie the game. The Nats are currently 23-22 and tied for 3rd place in the NL.





Pitching:



John Lannan had one of his best start in recent memory as he pitched 5.1 innings and gave up only one run. Drew Storen, Sean Burnett and Tyler Clifford combined for 2.2 innings of shut out relief. Capps pitched the 9th as he gave up two runs. Doug Slaten pitched the 10th inning to get his first win of the year as he gave up no runs.



Hitting:

The Nats scored 4 runs on 11 hits. Four Nats had two hits a piece. Willingham's homer was his 8th of the year. Roger Bernadina had 3 RBI.
