Leake and Reds stop the Nats, 5-1.

Last nights game was in the hands of Reds' pitcher Mike Leake as he had a dominating performance to led the Reds over the Nats, 5-1. The Nats help to the Reds' cause by falling apart in the 8th inning giving up 3 runs. The Nats drop to 27-30 and are in last place of the NL East.

Pitching:

Luis Atilano took the lost, but pitched very well as he pitched 7 innings while giving up only two runs. The bullpen feel apart as they gave up three runs. Tyler Walker and Sean Burnett gave up a combined 3 runs in .2 of an inning. Miguel Batista and Doug Slaten pitched a combined 1.1 innings of shut out relief.


Hitting:

The Nats scored only one run on 8 hits. Ian Desmond led the Nats with two hits.
