Nats Stop SKID!!! Top Royals, 2-1.

Livan Hernandez combined with bullpen help and two homers topped the Kansas City Royals 2-1. The win snapped the Nats' six game losing streak! The Nats are currently 32-39 and are in last place of the NL East.


Pitching:

Livan Hernandez who won his six game of the year pitched 7 innings while only giving up one run. Tyler Clifford picked up his 15 hold of the year by pitching a scoreless 8th inning. Matt Capps picked up his 21 save of the year as he somehow pitched a scoreless 9th even though Royals had the tying run on 3rd base with less then two outs.


Hitting:

The Nats scored only two runs on four hits but two of those hits were homers. Micheal Morse hit a mammoth of a homer which was his 3rd of the year. Cristin Guzman hit the game winning shot which was his 1st of the year.
