Two Stellar Pitching Performance Result in Heartache.

The Nats dropped the last two game in which they should have won. The Nats got two great pitching performance from Stephen Strasburg and J.D Martin in consecutive days. The Nats lost Friday night in 11 innings by a score of 2-1. Yesterday the Nats were shut out by a score of 1-0. The Nats have scored 1 run in the last 20 innings against the White Sox!! The Nats cannot come up with the timely two out hit to produce runs. The Nats are right now 31-38 and are in last place of the NL East.


Pitching:

Stephen Strasburg was great on Friday Night as he pitched 7 innings giving up one runs and had 10 strikeouts. He also set a MLB record by striking out 32 batters in his first three starts. Tyler Clifford and Matt Capps pitched a combined two inning of shut out relief. Drew Storen took the lost as he gave up one run in two innings.

J.D Martin who took the lost yesterday gave up one run in six innings during the Saturday game. Sean Burnett, Miguel Batista and Tyler Walker pitched a combined 3 innings of shut out relief.
