Reds give the Nats another Heartbreak., 5-4.

The Nats which had the led the majority of the game against the Reds but only to let them pull ahead in the 9th inning; the Nats bounced back to tie the game in the bottom of the frame at 4.. The Nats eventually fell to the Red in 10 innings, 5-4. The Nats fall to 27-31 and are in last place of the NL.


Pitching:

Craig Stammen pitched very well as he pitched 6.2 innings while only giving up 1 run. Drew Storen and Tyler Clifford pitched a combined 1.1 innings of shut out relief. Matt Capps blew his 4th save of the year giving up 3 runs in only .2 of an inning. Doug Slaten took the lost as he pitched .2 of an inning and gave up a run. Miguel Batista finished the game with .1 of inning with no runs given up.



Hitting:

The Nats scored 4 runs on 9 hits. Two Nats led the team with two hits a piece. Micheal Morse had 2 RBI on a pinch hit double in the 9th.
