Nats embrassed in 7-6 lost to the O's

The Nats gave up a 6-0 lead to the lowly Baltimore Orioles and lost the game ,7-6, on a 9th inning error. The error was the 4th of the game for the Nats. The Nats had hitting highlights in the first four innings and a fantastic Nyjer Morgan catch to rob O's Corey Patterson of homer, but in the end it did not matter in the lost. The Nats drop to 33-41 and are in last place of the NL East.

Pitching:

Who did not pitch is the question last night. Starter J.D Martin pitched 4.1 innings while giving up 3 unearned runs. The bullpen of Doug Slaten, Miguel Batista, Sean Burnett, Drew Storen and Matt Capps pitched a combined 4 innings of no runs relief. Tyler Clifford had a terrible game as he took the lost and blew a save as he gave up four runs which 3 were earned in his 1.1 innings of work.

Hitting:

The Nats scored 6 runs on 12 hits. Nyger Morgan led the Nats with 4 hits. Adam Dunn had 4 RBI on the night.
