Braves Control Nats' Bats, 4-1.

Braves 4 Nats 1

The Nats were dominated by the Braves by a score of 4-1. The Nats starting pitching was great, but the bullpen did up two more runs. The offense was shut down by the Braves’ Javier Vazquez as he only gave up three hits.

Pitching:

Starter John Lannan put in another great performance to up for not. Lannan pitched 7 innings while giving up two runs, but both were unearned. The bullpen of Jason Bergmann, Ron Villone and Saul Rivera gave up 2 runs in two combined innings of relief.

Batting

The Nats collected only three hits and scored one run. The Nats were led by Josh Bard who homered for the 6th time this year.

The Nats dropped to 52-101 and continue to be in last place of the NL.
