Detwiler Earn his 1st MLB Victory as Nats Top Mets, 2-1.

The Nats got a great pitching effort from Ross Detwiler and the bullpen. Detwiler earn his 1st MLB victory. Mike Morse’s homer in the 6th inning was the game winner for the Nats over the New York Mets, 2-1, as the broke a three game skid

Pitching:
Starter Ross Detwiler pitched 6 solid innings as he gave up one run. The bullpen of Jason Bergmann and Mike MacDougal pitched 3 combined innings of shutout relief. MacDougal picked up his 17th save of the year.

Batting

The Nats collected seven hits and scored two runs. The Nats were led by Mike Morse’s three hits. He homered in his third consecutive game.

The Nats improved to 53-103 and continue to be in last place of the NL.
