The Nats lose a pitching duel to the Padres, 3-1.

The Nats lost a pitching duel as the Nats lost to the Padres,3-1,but the Nats left eight men on base in the lost.


Pitching:

Starter Livan Hernandez pitched a complete game still lost a 3-1 game to the Padres. He gave up two runs in the first and one run in the eighth.



Batting:

The Nats collected 8 hits, but managed only 1 run. Pete Orr and Elijah Dukes led the Nats with two hits a piece. Orr had the only RBI in the game.

Record:

The Nats dropped to 46-86 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

The Nats play their next game tonight in San Diego as J.D Martin takes on the Padres’ Clayton Richard 10:05pm.
