Nats lose to the Phillies again, 6-5.

Phillies 6 Nats 5

The Nats lost another close game in the late innings as they lost to the Phillies 6-5. The Phillies scored two runs in the eighth to break a 4-4 tied and it was enough to hold off a Nats’ comeback.
Pitching:

Starter Garrett Mock pitched five innings while giving up four runs. The bullpen of Jason Bergmann, Sean Burnett, and Mike MacDougal pitched collectively for 3 inning and gave up no runs. But Tyler Clippard gave up 2 runs in his one inning of relief and took the lost.


Batting:

The Nats 11 collected its and scored 5 runs while leaving seven men on bases. The Nats were led by Justin Maxwell and Alberto Gonzalez who each had three hits a piece.

The Nats dropped to 47-92 and continue to be in last place of the NL.
