Just in Pinch of Time, Nats beat Marlins, 5-3.

Mike Morse got a pinch double in the sixth inning to score two runs which broke a 2-2 tie. The hit was the difference in the game which led the Nats to their second straight victory.

Pitching:

Starter J.D Martin pitched 5 innings while giving up only two runs. The bullpen of Tyler Clippard, Jason Bergmann and Mike MacDougal was very good as they only gave up one run in their combined four innings of work.

Batting:

The Nats collected only 5 hits, but did score 5 runs!!!!! The Nats were led by Morse, Ryan Zimmerman and Adam Dunn. Morse got the important pinch hit double while Zimmerman and Dunn each homered in the game.

Record:

The Nats improve to 49-92 and continue to be in last place of the NL.

Next Game:

The Nats next game is today in Florida as Marco Estrada takes on the Marlins’ Anibal Sanchez at 6:10pm.
