Nats get SWEPT in Philadelphia, 4-2!

Phillies 4 Nats 1

The Nats fell to the Phillies, 4-2, as there were swept in Philadelphia. The Phillies scored early and were backed by great pitching. The Nats got a solid performance from Ross Detwiler, but the bullpen gave up important runs in relief.

Pitching:


Starter Ross Detwiler pitched a solid five innings while only giving up one run. The bullpen of Tyler Clippard, Saul Rivera, Ron Villone, Logan Kensing, and Marco Estrada gave up three runs in a combined three innings of work.

Batting

The Nats collected six hits while only scoring two runs. The Nats left five men on base The Nats were led by Elijah Dukes who had two hits, scored a run and had a RBI.

The Nats dropped to 50-96 and continue to be in last place of the NL.
