Nats double up Giants, 6-3.

Sharion Martis is vying to be the ace of the staff by beating the Giants, 6-3. Martis picked up his fifth victory while pitching 7 innings and allowing one run. The bullpen allowed 2 runs, but held strong. Joe Beimel got his sixth hold and Kip Wells picked up his second save.

The offense was lead by Nick Johnson's four hits while Cristen Guzman had three hits. Elijah Dukes also added two hits of his own. RBI leaders of the day were Dukes with three and Johnson with two. Ryan Zimmerman's hit streak ended at 30 as he was o for three with two walks.

The Nats ended the West Coast road trip at 4-4. The Nats improved to 11-21 while staying in last place of the NL East.

The Nats come home Friday, May 15th, to Nationals' Park as John Lannan takes on the Philadelphia Phillies' Joe Blanton at 7:05 pm.
