Nats get by the D-backs, 5-4

The Nats put together back to back wins on the road for the first time this year. Shairon Martis pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs to pick up his 4 victory of the year. Relievers Garret Mock, Joel Hanrahan and Julian Tavarez picked up holds in 2 2/3 innings of work. Kip Wells picked up his first save of his career in the ninth.

The Nats' offense was lead by Cristen Guzman, Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Dunn, and Jesus Flores who each had two hits apiece. Dunn and Flores each homered in the game. Guzman and Flores each had two RBI. Zimmerman extended his hitting streak to 26.

The Nats improved to 9-18 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

Tonight's game in Arizona will have John Lannan taking on the D-backs' Doug Davis at 8:10pm.
