Nats lose to the Phillies, 4--2

The Phillies completed their sweep of the Nats this weekend by beating the Nats, 4-2. Starter John Lannan gave a decent effort by pitching 5 innings and giving up 3 runs. Joe Beimel gave up the only run from the bullpen. The other relievers of Jason Bergmann and Joel Hanrahan held the Phillies scoreless.

The Nats' offense only manage two runs and five hits off the Phillies. Both of the runs came from solo homers by Josh Willingham. It was his 8th and 9th homers of the year.

The Nats drop to 13-36 and losers of their last six. The Nats continue to stay in last place of the NL East.

The Nats start a nine game home stand starting Tuesday, June 2nd. The Nats will have Craig Stammen take on the SF Giants' Tim Lincecum at 7:o5pm.
