Phils hold on and beat the Nats, 5-4.

The Phils let a 5-1 lead slip to a 5-4 but held on to beat the Nats, 5-4. Nats' starter Ross Detwiler had his worst performance of the season by pitching only 4 innings and giving up five runs. The relievers of Jason Bergmann, Ron Villone, Mike MacDougal, Joe Beimel and Julian Tavarez kept the Nats in the game by pitching a combine four scoreless innings.

The Nats' offense scored 4 runs on only six hits. Josh Willingham had two hits including his seventh homer of the year.

The Nats drop to 13-34 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

The Nats take on the Phillies in Philly tonight as Sharion Martis will take on Cole Hamels at 7:05pm
