The Nats’ bullpen let another game get away and this time it was against the Yankees, 5-3. The Nats’ held a lead,3-2, in the latter part of the game versus the Yankees but Ron Villone and Mike MacDougal gave up late runs in the lost.
Pitching:
Sharion Martis gave 6 quality innings while giving up two earn runs. He left the game with a lead, but the bullpen gave up the lead. Villone took another lost for the Nats, as he gave up 2 runs in his one inning of relief. MacDougal also gave up one run in only 1/3 inning of work and Joe Beimel finish up the game giving up no runs in 2/3 of an inning.
Batting:
The Nats collected 6 hits and scored three runs in the lost. Anderson Hernandez was the offense star by getting two hits as one of them was a 3 run homer. It was his first homer of the year.

The Nats drop to 16-46 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.
