Mets Blank the Nats, 7-0.

The Mets dominated the Nats today by shutting them out 7-0.


Pitching:

Craig Stammen pitched five innings but gave up all of his five runs in the first inning. The relief core of Jesus Colome, Julian Tavarez and Mike MacDougal finished up the game for the Nats. Colome and MacDougal both gave up single runs, but only Colome was earned.

Batting:

The Nats only managed five hits without scoring a run. Adam Dunn collected two hits for the Nats.

Record:

The Nats dropped to 15-40 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

Next Game:

The next game is Tuesday as the Nats welcome the Cincinnati Reds to National Park. Jordan Zimmerman takes on the Reds’ Johnny Cueto at 7:05pm.
