Mets down Nats in ten, 3-1.

The Nats lost another close game and this time they lost to the Mets in 10 innings, 3-1. Joel Hanrahan had another terrible outing.


Pitching:

Sharion Martis threw a ton of pitches in his 5 innings, but only allowed one run. Jason Bergmann, Ron Villone, Mike MacDougal, and Joe Beimel pitched collectively for 3 innings without giving up a run. Joel Hanrahan had good 9th inning, but feel apart in the 10th and gave up 2 runs.

Batting:

The Nats collected 7 hits, but only scored one run. The Nats left 7 men on base during the game. Cristen Guzman led the way with three hits.

Record:

The Nats drop to 14-39 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

Next Game:

The second game of this weekend series is tonight as John Lannan takes on the Mets’ John Maine at 7:05pm.
