Reds nip Nats, 3-2

The Reds nip the Nats in a close game at Nationals park last night as Brandon Phillip got a big hit with the bases loaded against Ross Detwiler.

Pitching:

Ross Detwiler filled in for the sore armed Jordan Zimmerman last night. Detwiler who took the lost pitched 6 innings giving up 3 runs . The trio of Jason Bergmann, Ron Villone and Mike MacDougal each pitched an inning without giving up a run.



Batting:

The Nats managed six hits and scoring two runs. Cristen Guzman and Ryan Zimmerman each had two hits. The Nats scored each of their runs on solo shots by Elijah Dukes and Guzman.

Record: The Nats drop to 15-41 and stay in last place of the NL East.
