Nats Out Slug the Giants, 10-6.

The Nats scored six runs in the 8th inning to propel the Nats past the Giants, 10-6 and stopped their six game losing streak. Starter Craig Stammen pitched six innings, but gave up 5 runs. The reliever of Julian Tavarez and Ron Villone pitch 2 innings of shut out relief; Villone picked up his third victory for his effort. Joel Hanrahan pitched the 9th, but gave up one run.


The offense scored their 10 runs on fourteen hits. The offense was lead by Josh Bard and Anderson Hernandez who both had 3 hits apiece. Bard hit his first homer of the year. Also, Ryan Zimmerman added two hits.

The Nats improve to 14-36 and continue to be in last place of the NL
East.

The Nats take on the Giants tonight at 7:05pm as Jordan Zimmerman match up against the Giants' Randy Johnson.
