The Nats did not start off their road trip in good fashion! The pitching gave up eleven runs and the offense only scored one run against the Baltimore Orioles in an 11-1 lost. The big inning was the sixth when the O’s scored 8 times!
Pitching:
The pitching was dismal! Ross Detwiler gave up 5 runs in five innings. Joel Hanrahan is still struggling by giving up 4 runs in 1/3 of an inning. Ron Villone also gave up two runs in 2/3 of an inning. Jesus Colome closed up for the Nats with no runs in two innings.
Batting:
The Nats collected 7 hits, and scored 1 run. The Nats were led by Josh Bard who had two hits and a RBI.

The Nats dropped to 21-50 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.
