Nats win in the 11th over the Blue Jays, 2-1.

The Nats finally got their first extra inning win of the year as Adam Dunn came through with a hit in the 11 inning to win the game, 2-1 over the Toronto Blue Jays. The Nats pitching was great once again giving up only one run in the last 20 innings pitched. Jesus Colome earned his first win of year. It was the Nats third consecutive win and all against the AL East.


Pitching:

Jordan Zimmerman gave up only one run in his 5.2 innings. The relievers were great in the win as Kip Wells, Julian Tavarez, Ron Villone, Joel Hanrahan, Joe Beimel and Colome combined to pitch 5.1 innings of shut out ball.

Batting:

The Nats collected 10 hits and scored two runs in the win. Nick Johnson led the offense with three hits . Cristen Guzman and Dunn also added two hits apiece. Zimmermann had his first career RBI and Dunn had the game winning RBI.

Record:

The Nats improve to 19-46 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.

Next Game:

The Nats play the Blue Jays at Nationals Stadium tomorrow as Ross Detwiler will pitch for the Nats. The Blue Jays have not announced a starter for the 7:05pm game.
