Lannan Pitches a Gem against the Yankees in a 3-2 Win.

John Lannan threw a masterpiece as he pitched 8.1 innings and up only two runs on four hits. Mike MacDougal got a huge save by getting a double play on the final play to preserve a great win. Adam Dunn added his 18th homer of the year and Nick Johnson hit a two-run triple


Pitching:

Lannan pitched a gem as mention above to improve his record to 4-5 this year. MacDougal save was his first of the year and it was no doubt the most efficient save of the year for the Nats.

Batting:

The Nats collected 7 hits and scored three runs in the win. Cristen Guzman led the way for the Nats with three hits. Dunn and Johnson supplied the power to the Nats offense.

Record:

The Nats improve to 17-46 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.
