The Nats had an early two to nothing lead on the Rays behind Jordan Zimmerman. But in the six inning, Jason Bergmann came in and imploded by giving up 5 runs and took the lost in an 8-3 defeat.
Pitching:
Jordan Zimmerman pitched 5 innings and gave up one run. Bergmann as mention above allowed five runs without recording an out. Jesus Colome did no better in his two innings of work giving up two runs. Julian Tavarez closed the game with one inning of shutout relief.
Batting:
The Nats collected 7 hits and scored three runs in the lost. Anderson Hernandez led the way with two hits. Ryan Zimmerman hit his first homer of June which was his 12th of the year.

The Nats drop to 16-44 and continue to be in last place of the NL East.
